Animations
Here are some extra animations that I've done in my spare time—experiments, one-offs, and creative detours that don't quite fit into a larger series. These pieces often emerge when I'm exploring a new technique, testing out a feature in my animation software, or simply following a spark of inspiration wherever it leads. Think of this as my creative playground: a collection of standalone moments where I push boundaries, try something different, and see what happens when I step outside my usual workflow.
ZOMBIE Crawl
This was my first time truly utilizing the features of Procreate Dreams. It was such a huge learning curve in terms of figuring out the app itself, but that’s what makes it fun. I had this zombie in my brain, and I wanted to do something interesting with its movement. The layers and masks were neat to use to give this that eerie lighting we all love.
Mario Day Loop
March 10 is Mario Day, and I wanted to make a cool loop showcasing the popular plumber himself. This goes through his more famous forms with a more…familiar way to reset!
Mario Day Loop 2
For this Mario Day animation, I wanted to challenge myself to make a short animated loop in less than 24 hours! This one is inspired by the cover art of my favorite Mario game: Super Mario World. I used Procreate Dreams for the initial loop, and extended it to 30 seconds in After Effects! Wanted to try some different puppeteering techniques in Dreams, and it turned out well, but I think I’ll stick to a more sophisticated program for that in the future.
